Speaking with the newspaper, Wilmette police said:
“Sinead O’Connor has been located. She is safe and is no longer listed as a missing/endangered person.”
The troubled mother of four, 49, had reportedly left for the bike ride near the Chicago suburb of Wilmette at 6 a.m. on Sunday, May 15, 2016 and had not returned as at 9:30 a.m. the next day.
The Wilmette Police Department, in a statement released today, said:
"The Wilmette Police is seeking to check the well-being of Sinead O'Connor.
"O'Connor reportedly left the Wilmette area for a bicycle ride yesterday at 6:00am and has not returned. A caller has expressed concern for her well-being and no other information is available at this time."
TMZ reports that an alert had been sent out by the police classifying O'Connor as “missing suicidal.”
O'Connor was last seen on a motorized bicycle with a pink basket, wearing a black parka and black leather pants.
The "Nothing Compares To U" crooner has reportedly claimed to be suicidal in the past but has also received treatment for her mental health, which might explain her disappearing act.
