Nigerian celebrities may whine about how much they like to keep their private affairs away from prying eyes like ours, but the truth is what's a celebrity without a lil dirt, and dishing on whose 'waist' they have...and lost.

Today, we share the dirt on the past loves of some of the most influential Nigerian celebrities around today.

Take a peek!

  • Linda Ikeji & Dan Foster

Linda's claim to fame: Former model turned gazillionaire 'it' blogger

Dan's claim to fame: American citizen and arguably Nigeria's first uber-celebrity radio On-Air Personality. Glamorised radio presenting in Lagos and is largely responsible for the fact that 95% of Nigerian OAPs now have either borrowed, bought or infected foreign accents

Linda Ikeji and Dan Foster may make headlines for different reasons now...well actually Linda is the one who makes all the headlines these days. But once upon a time this pair were as solid as Davido's gold chains. If our diggings and memory serves us right, the pair dated sometime around 2006/2007 and it was quite the high-profile relationship. Red carpet events, top Lagos parties..the works. Unfortunately though, after several accusations and counter-accusations from both sides, the duo eventually split and Dan went on to marry his current wife and Linda went on to amass a fortune from nosing into the affairs of other celebrities - all's well that ends well.

  • Joseph Yobo & Uche Iwuji

Joseph's claim to fame: Super Eagles captain/International footballer

Uche's claim to fame: Nollywood actress (??)

Before Yobo became an-almost permanent fixture on the Super Eagles bench and back when Uche Iwuji still had a career, the pair were as tight as Ini Edo's lace wigs. Their on-again/off-again type relationship notwithstanding, the couple were often spotted at clubs on a night out in town. Eventually, they succumbed to gravity and went their separate ways - Joseph married ex-beauty queen Adaeze Igwe and became a trophy husband while Uche settled with Oil/Gas entrepreneur, Juwon Lawal...for about five minutes.

  • Stephanie Okereke-Idahosa & Chikelue Iloanusi

Stephanie's claim to fame: Nollywood actress/producer

Chikelue's claim to fame: Ex-Super Eagles Player

Once upon a time, before the fairy tale wedding in Paris and everything else after, Stephanie was the chair lady of WAGs (Wives and Girlfriends of Footballers Association), Nigerian chapter. The Nollywood actress didn't just date, but was engaged and traditionally married to former Super Eagles player, Chikelue Iloanusi and the two enjoyed a hot 'n' heavy relationship. After her accident in 2005 enroute the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), Stephanie repeatedly sang Chikelue's praise and credited him for his unflinching support while in recovery. Shortly after her recovery though, things went south and the two had a very bitter break up with several accusations from both camps. Stephanie later married Linus Idahosa while Chikelue faded into oblivion.

  • Jim Iyke & Steph-Nora Okere

Jim's claim to fame: Nollywood actor/badboy extraordinaire

Steph-Nora's claim to fame: Nollywood actress

Jim oh Jim, who survives a relationship with the tornado called Jim Iyke? Nadia Buari  seems to be though...but I digress. Now the Jim/Steph-Nora hook-up would have probably slipped our radar if Steph herself didn't draw our attention to it. In an interview with Encomium magazine in April 2013, Steph admitted that she had infact dated Jim and shock of shocks, she was still in love with him!

 In her words:

«Jim was and is still the best friend I've ever had. He was not just around, he was there as a friend, brother, lover, companion. He was always there. He understood me, I still love him»

Need we say more?

  • Ebube Nwagbo & KC

Ebube's claim to fame: Nollywood actress/Card-carrying member of ACSMS (Association of Celebrity Social Media Show-offs)

KC: Musician/Former half of KC Presh/Limpopo crooner...

Now this pair have more history than an archaeological dig site. The two were on and off over the years and even got engaged at some point. But in 2010, they went off el permanente as KC got married and Ebube became a fixture on the social scene. Sources alleged that the pair may have come back together as they had been spotted together severally, but KC later denied the reports.

  • Iyanya & Yvonne 'Vixen' Ekwere

Iyanya's claim to fame: Award-winning artiste and possessor of 'waists'

Yvonne's claim to fame: Media personality and advocate of 'mboks'

You read it here first...

In the days before Iyanya sold his R&B soul to the god of Kukere, and when Vixen was still the queen of the red carpet, the duo found love in a not-so-broken place. Unfortunately, this fizzled out faster than the etighi dance. Iyanya went on to lust after Yvonne Nelson's waist and Vixen, well she went on to develop a male alter ego - what a man can do....

  • Cobhams Asuquo & Lala Akindoju

Cobhams' claim to fame: Musical genius, our very own Stevie Wonder

Lala's claim to fame: Actress/Producer/Theatre patron

Yes, Lala and Cobhams were once a pair. You see, long before there was Tiwa Savage and Tee Billz, there was Lala and Cobhams. They were a match made in music heaven with Lala's golden voice and Cobhams' mastery of music. We're talking red carpet events, attending church services hand-in-hand, Lala accepting awards on behalf of Cobhams...it was as hot 'n' heavy as you could get. Unfortunately, things fizzled out amidst speculations of one party's family not being in full support of the union. Onwards, onwards...

Now that you know they were once all booed up, which of these Nigerian celebrities do you wish were still together?
