Today is also the birthday of Nigerian-American rapper Wale. He is 31 years old.

Born Olubowale Victor Akintimehin, Wale is one of the prominent rappers in America. He released his debut album in 2009. In 2011 he signed to Rick Ross' imprint Maybach Music Group which helped establish him as one of the top rappers in America.
His follow up albums (2011), The Gifted (2013), and (2015) have both been commercial and critical successes. Wale has kept his Nigerian roots in his music and lifestyle.
