Experts agree — there is one place in a car that is the safest for a child. However, not every car is adapted to this.

Nowadays, transporting children by car is absolutely normal - not only for holiday trips, but above all for daily commuting to school, kindergarten or for various other routine matters in the city.

It is crucial not only to have a child seat, but also to know how to properly transport it in the car. The seat must be properly adjusted to the child's age, weight and height, which is obvious, but it should also be placed in the right place in the car.

You should take care of your child's safety in the car, regardless of whether you are going on a short trip to the nearby store or a long trip on vacation. Many tragic car accidents confirm that children who are transported incorrectly are exposed to serious danger.

Access to information on how to properly transport children in car seats is now extremely easy, and understanding and applying it can save lives. Therefore, the applicable rules cannot be underestimated.

The most important rules are to transport children rear-facing and the obligation to use a car seat until the child is 150 cm tall. However, if a child is at least 135 cm tall and weighs more than 36 kg, they can travel without a car seat, but always in the back seat and fastened with seat belts.

Many parents believe that the safest place for a child is behind the driver, but experts emphasise this is a mistake. They recommend transporting your child in the back seat, but in the middle seat. However, the car must be adapted for this purpose - have traditional belts and the ISOFIX system if the seat is installed using a base.

However, if such a solution is not possible, the second safest place is behind the passenger, i.e. the right rear seat.

When installing a child's seat on this seat, we have easy visual contact with the child, and besides, it is located on the side of the road, not in the middle of the street, so when putting the child into the seat or taking it out, e.g. on the side of a busy road, there is no threat from passing cars.
