MHN, Unilorin plan to break simultaneous can opening record

The current record being held by Career Consulting Co. Ltd. was achieved by 1,149 people at Urayasu, Japan on the 24th of January 2016.

The Guinness World Record to be broken is the most people opening can drinks simultaneously at the same venue. with current record being held by Career Consulting Co. Ltd. achieved by 1,149 people at Urayasu, Japan on the 24th of January 2016.

The record is to be broken this time with over 3000 people, mostly students from the University, scheduled to take place on Wednesday, 24th of May, 2017 at the University of Ilorin Sports Centre.

Each person will be given a can drink for free and everyone will open theirs after a signal is given. Every activity on this day will be recorded on camera using drone-assisted cameras and strategically positioned camcorder.

Top officials from the University of Ilorin and Kwara State Government are expected to grace this very special event. Also, top artists and comedians in Kwara State are to entertain the participants during the counting process.
