HP in partnership with Ice Prince hosted Star Wars fans to a private screening of Star Wars The Force Awakens VII recently at Genesis Cinema, Palms Shopping Mall. The private screening was held as part of the HP Star Wars™ Holiday Campaign targeted at exciting customers and rewarding customers with instant freebies and daily grand prizes.
On arrival customers had the rare opportunity to experience the new HP Star Wars Special Edition Notebook loaded with customized Star Wars images and movies, the notebook comes with Aurebesh design, heavy backlit keyboard, Storm trooper branding. Other HP Notebooks showcased were the detachable Pavilion x2 & convertible Pavilion x360. The event kicked off with a meet and greet on the black carpet, shortly after which host Ice Prince arrived to cheers from the fans. Spoke about his partnership with HP, his album and personal life. After the chat session, Ice Prince ushered guests and fans alike into the cinema hall for the private screening of the latest instalment of the Star Wars franchise.
After the movie, Ice Prince and MD, HP Inc., Ifeyinwa Afe, presented the gift of a HP Pavilion X360 to the first winner of the HP #AwakenYourForce online competition, Princewill Ejirika.
Speaking to the Pulse Tech correspondent at the event, Ejirika said he was delighted to have won a brand new laptop and implored everyone else to participate in the HP #AwakenYourForce online competition.
The new campaign, which is global, is being run in Nigeria and Kenya simultaneously for the African market and the consumer promotion is built into it to ensure customers get full value for the money worth. According to the Marketing Manager for HP West, East and North Africa, Tolulope Lawani, who spoke on the essence of the campaign, said “HP believes that technology can empower anyone from anywhere, and we are enabling those with passion and ingenuity to put their own mark on Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
