Angola's finance ministry has denied a June 11 state media report that said President Eduardo dos Santos asked China for a two-year moratorium on debt repayments during a state visit to Beijing this month.

"Various media agencies have reported that the President of Angola asked for a moratorium on repayment of debt to Chinese entities. These reports are incorrect," the Angolan finance ministry said in a statement seen by Reuters on Friday.
