“Yes, some people are of the view that a new party should be formed because of the lingering crisis. But one thing I believe is that in as much as I know that forming new party may be good option because the situation we have found ourselves in our party may be difficult to come out of it in the near future, the formation may not be the best option,” he said.

Egwu was also a minister of education from 2008 to 2010.
