Police had said they sealed off the property, located on Lugard road, to “prevent illegal assembly.”

It was gathered that the police personnel were withdrawn after complaints were lodged to higher authorities.
The former governor was said to be planning to host a mass wedding by the Kwankwaasiyya movement.

Shortly after the security men vacated the residence, some of the Kwankwaasiyya faithful occupied the building to celebrate their freedom, report said.
