President might travel again for medical care within some weeks [VIDEO]

Buhari returns home after many days of treatment in United Kingdom.

Buhari returned to Nigeria on Friday, March 9, after spending 49 days in London on what was supposed to be a 10-day medical vacation.

He however said that there might be a need for him to have follow up treatment within some weeks.

“I am feeling much better now. There may however be need to have further follow-ups within some weeks,” he told reporters on Friday after his return.

“I have rested as much as humanly possible; I have received the best of treatment I can receive.

“I couldn’t recall ever being so sick since I was a real young man including the military goings ups and downs,” he added.

Buhari also said that Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo would continue to govern so he could get some more rest.

“I deliberately came back towards the weekend so that the vice-president will continue and I will continue to rest,” he said.

Buhari had written the Senate on February 5 to extend his vacation indefinitely due to advice from his doctors.

The president said, in the letter, that he would not return to the country till his doctors rule out certain factors.

It is not clear what ailment the president is battling, but various government officials have insisted that he is “hale and hearty.”
