13th edition will hold in Lagos State

The 2017 African Movie Academy Awards will hold in Lagos State as part of the Lagos at 50 celebrations.

AMAA founder, Nollywood practitioners visit Governor Ambode

The 13th edition which will hold on June 3, 2017, has been announced by Governor Akinwunbi Ambode as part of the Lagos at 50 celebrations.

The 2016 AMAA held on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at Dr. Obi Wali Event Centre, Port-Harcourt, Rivers State, with Daniel K Daniel, Thishiwe Ziqubu, "Meet the Parents," "Dry," "Soldier Story," "Tell Me Something New" among others emerging winners.

Bayelsa State, Abuja and South Africa are among previous hosts of the award ceremony.
