Oritsefemi thrill fans, guests at weekly music event

The 'Musical Taliban' packs the Industry Nite venue as he performed the hits that made him one of the hottest acts in Nigeria.

The music industry yesterday, Wednesday March 18, 2015, felt the amazing talent of the musical Taliban popularly known as Oritsefemi.

The venue as usual was Spice Route in Victoria Island. The venue was packed as many people, fans and guests, came out to see one of the brightest music stars in recent times perform.

It indeed was a celebration of his ascendancy in the Nigerian music scene. The host as usual was the BEAT FM OAP Jimmie who was at his engaging best yesterday.

The music side of things was handled by DJ Kaywise who was holding it down for the regular DJ Spinall who is currently on tour in the United States of America.

Dressed in all black, with a red black, Oritsefemi stepped on stage after midnight and opened his set with his first hit song 'Mercies of the Lord' released in 2010.

Oritsefemi went through his gamut of hits like a seasoned pro. He was backed up by four energetic dancers. He performed his popular tracks 'Redi Dance', 'Body and Soul', and 'Igbeyawo'.

He also brought on stage artistes 2 Kriss, Joe El, and Seriki to perform their respective collabos with him.

The energy at Spice Route was at an all time high when he closed his performance with his biggest song 'Double Wahala'.

Celebrities who attended Industry Nite with Oritsefemi included Iceberg Slim, Jaywon, Reekado Banks, Fliptyce, Sheyman, and others.
