“Common Man” director to hold film clinic

Participants will get to watch and analyze three of Ohikhuare unreleased films including “Stupid Movie”, “Common Man” and “Kpians: The Feast of Souls".

Nigerian filmmaker Stanlee Ohikhuare will be sharing film tips with upcoming producers next month.

Ohikhuare is popular for producing and directing short films. The cinematographer wears many hats; he is also a visual effects creator, video editor, 3D animator and a stunts director.

His film clinic comes up from February 8 to February 10 in Lagos. He will be training participants in planning and pre production, lighting and volumetric, cinematography, directing, and post production.

Participants will get to watch three of his unreleased films including “Stupid Movie”, “Common Man” and “Kpians: The Feast of Souls".

Ohikhuare has directed several movies and short films including "Loop", "Retrospective" and "Oblivious", which won Best Short Film at the 2015 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards.

In 2015, Ohikhuare directed "Recourse" and "Stupid Movie" starring Kiki Omeili (Lekki Wives), Kelechi Udegbe, Gregory Ojefua, and Donald Ndubuisi. He wrote, produced and directed "Amiable". He also shot an unscripted film titled "Payback".

His film "Common Man" has been nominated for multiple awards in the 2016 edition of Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards (AMVCA).
