5 films directed by Lancelot Imasuen

Lancelot Imaseun has directed films like "Adesuwa," "A Private Storm," "Games Men Play," "Behind Closed Doors," among others.

Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen is a Nollywood producer and director. Last year the filmmaker celebrated his 20th anniversary in the industry.

Pulse Movies presents a list of five films directed by Imasuen.

“A Private Storm”

The filmmaker co-directed “A Private Storm” with Ikechukwu Onyeka. The film premiered in December 2010. Ramsey Nouah and Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde play leading roles in the drama. It also stars Ghanaian actor John Dumelo. The film sees both actors as a couple that act like their relationship is perfect when it isn’t.

“Games Men Play”

Released in 2006, “Games Men Play” stars some of Nollywood’s most loved actors including Dakore Egbuson-Akande, Chioma Chukwuka, Monalisa Chindu, Ini Edo, Mike Ezuruonye, Kate Henshaw, Bob-Manuel Udokwu and Uche Jombo.

The film follows the lives of couples in Lagos whose lives get invade by a TV show host. All is well, but some of the couples have secrets they’ll live to keep to themselves.

“Bent Arrows”

In 2010, Imasuen directed  “Bent Arrow”. The film featured Stella Damasus, Enebeli Elebuwa, Desmond Elliot, Olu Jacobs, Joke Silva and Omoni Oboli.

“Bent Arrow” featured an independent soundtrack album with music from Nikki Laoye, Stella Damasus, Styl Plus and production by Cobhams Asuquo.

“Invasion 1897”

Invasion 1897” is an epic period film. The movie is based on the invasion of the great Benin Kingdom by the British in 1897, which saw the deposition of Oba Ovonramwen Nogbaisi. In an interview, the filmmaker said the film was a deliberate statement about reparation.

The cast includes Mike Omoregbe, Segun Arinze, the late Justus Esiri, Rudolph Walker, Charles Inojie and Paul Obazele.

“Victims”

Veteran filmmaker Lancelot Imasuen, directed “Victims”. It features parades stars like Olu Jacobs, Juliet Ibrahim, Fathia Balogun, Seun Akindele and Saidi Balogun.

The film released in November, 2015 is about abusive relationships.
