Sequel to musical film currently set for production

Movie director, Adam Shankman will be taking the reins from Kevin Lima, who directed the first edition of the film.

It is set to be directed by Adam Shankman who is known for his exploits in Hairspray and Rock of Ages, report says.

According to Coming Soon News, the filming of the project will begin in the summer of the year 2017.

The first production of the movie had appearances from actors such as Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden, Timothy Spall, Idina Menzel, Rachel Covey and Susan Sarandon.

It grossed a huge amount of $340.5 million worldwide with just $85 million invested in making it.
