Sequel gets new release date

Sony has announced a new date for the upcoming third "Bad Boys" movie, which was previously scheduled to premiere on February 17, 2017.

The movie which was previously scheduled for a February 17, 2017 release, will now make its debut on June 2, 2017. Recently, Sony announced two more "Bad Boys" films in the franchise.

The film will have Will Smith return as Detective Mike Lowrey and Martin Lawrence as Detective Marcus Burnett.

However, there has been one thing casting a cloud over this exciting news; Michael Bay's relative non-involvement.

Joe Carnahan is already attached to direct BB3 , while Bad Boys 4 is set for a July 2019 release.
