Changing lives through music - Stanley Enow

Episode 1: Scene 1: Pulse VIP Blogger Stanley Enow is set to take us all into his world as a game changer and an entire country's pride in music

Music is my passion and my mission is to change lives passionately.

My name is Stanley Enow, French African hip hop finest MC with Cameroonian origin and I live music.

Music has always been my No.1 passion and my greatest wish as a teenager was to transform lives. I have always learned to see music as a medium to achieve my vision and mission.

I started music at a very tender age and I have been into it for more than a decade now. It was a very tough journey as I started from the bottom to forge my way to the top.

When I say 'tough', I mean an era where even the closest people to me didn't want to believe in my talent. They felt it was a waste of time and a useless road to take. I remember selling the first barge of my demo CDs on the road and moving from one bar and music selling kiosks to another just to be heard.

No matter the tough journey, I never thought of giving up. By the special grace of God today I am living my dreams.

Now, that I think my struggles are finally paying off and my country has become my responsibility, I want to use my statues to do what I had always wanted to do - HELP THE UNDERPRIVILEDGED.

I decided to create the Stanley Enow Foundation in order to reach out to the world.

I do a lot of public/motivational speaking to encourage the youths to do their utmost in life. They are the leaders of tomorrow so I have the right to pave their minds right. Most children from poor homes do not get the chance to go to school, or have good clothes, better health care or even food to eat.

I have been in areas in Cameroon where drinking water is like gold, education is completely absent and medical facilities do not exist. I stood and looked around and I'm like, "if I ever get money I would want to help."

I also have a clothing line called Motherland Clothing, that creates jobs for many not just in the entertainment sector.

I'm so lucky to say that my Brand is loved by all. So I create work in the field of designing, transportation, sales and security too.

My country Cameroon is proud of me, perhaps not because I am perfect or faultless but because they see in me what I will say I haven't been able to see in myself.

The fans encourage me to move forward or stand up when I fall. When my name was called up in South Africa as MTV Africa Music Awards 2014 Best New Act, all I could think about is how proud I was to be a Cameroonian. I wish my entire country was standing with me when D'banj handed me the trophy. I was proud of myself but most proud of my flag.

I'm glad that the entire world looks up to me now. I strongly advice you to take all you do seriously. It is advisable to make the best of your opportunities in life. Opportunities may come and go but they shouldn't pass you by.

Do not rely on any human. Rely on God Almighty as you work hard. He is the way the truth and the life.

Stanley Enow loves you and hope to hear from me again.
