5 female celebs who changed their faith

What can't we do for love? In the case of some female celebrities changing their religion is just part of getting married while others make that switch after separating.

Clarion Chukwurah gets married again

She captioned it, "An Instructive Meeting Sunday at the Kingdom Hall towards Baptism and Evangelization Ministry as Jehovah’s Witnesses.”

According to the Jehovah Witness beliefs it is not advised that a member marries a non-Jehovah Witness member. It's likely because of this that Clarion Chukwurah converted.

The veteran actress is threading on familiar path. There are many female celebrities who have converted to their husband's religion after marriage. Below are five celebrities who have converted to another faith,

1) Katie Holmes

The star actress was famously married to movie star Tom Cruise who is the poster boy of Scientology in Hollywood. Holmes started practicing Scientology in 2005 although she never officially denounced Catholicism which she was raised on. After her divorce in 2012 she became an official member of a catholic church in New York.

2) Janet Jackson

Pop idol Janet Jackson who was born and raised as a Jehovah Witness  allegedly converted to Islam after marrying Wissam Al Mana. She hasn't made any public statement regarding her conversion but it has been noticed that her dressing has been conservative since she got married.

3) Drew Barrymore

Charlie's Angels star was raised as a Christian but since she got married to art consultant Will Kopelman in a Jewish ceremony she has started practicing Judaism. "It's a beautiful faith and I'm so honored to be around it. It's so family-oriented" she told The View in 2013.

4) Laide Bakare

Yoruba actress converted to Islam after splitting with her Christian husband. She has gone on to observe the Holy pilgrimage to Mecca. She is now with Alhaji Tunde Orilowo and has joined his many wives.

5) Elizabeth Taylor

The late Hollywood queen converted to Judaism after the death of her third husband Michael Todd. She was 27 then. She later married Todd's best friend Eddie Fisher who was also Jewish. Throughout her life Elizabeth Taylor lent her voice to Jewish causes.
