Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos is declaring “operation pothole free city” as he settles down to tackle the many problems in Nigeria’s commercial capital. Lagos has become notorious for its bad, filthy, overcrowded and pothole laden road surfaces, with motorists now left with no choice but to commit potholes to memory. Potholes have also led to accidents, traffic gridlock and rupturing of car tyres in Lagos.
