Davido and his team landed in Abuja over the weekend where they joined thousands of Nigerians for the #EndSars protest.

The music star who helped secured the release of some protesters that had been arested by the police later announced that he was going to have a meeting with the Inspector General of Police.

Things however, took a different tune on Monday after the music star appears to deny being involved in the protest in a video that has emerged on Twitter.

The video was taken during his meeting with the PRO of the Nigeria Police Force, Frank Mba.

In the video, Davido obviously looking nervous, tells Mba that he didn't want to have a meeting behind closed doors.

Mba interrupts Davido by accusing him of being one of the masterminds of the protest held the previous day.

Shockingly, the music star denies being a part of the protest, "I didn't protest, I did not protest," he said.

According to him, he was only there because they are his fans.

It was the denial that drew online outrage against the 27-year-old on Twitter.
