Liverpool Ladies conclude shirt sponsorship with Avon

The Cosmetics brand becomes first independent sponsor of women's soccer side in English football history.

The female team of the English soccer side Liverpool, Liverpool Ladies FC, have signed a three-year front-of-shirt sponsorship agreement with cosmetics company, Avon.

Established in 1886, Avon deals in women beauty products and has been known for its long history of empowering women around the globe.

For the first time in its history, Avon will become the first female-focused brand to sponsor a premier ladies football team. Through the deal, Avon will also become Liverpool Ladies FC’s principal partner, as well the club’s official Ladies beauty partner.

Until the new deal, the Liverpool Ladies had shared sponsorship with their male counterparts i.e wearing the logo of insurance firm Standard Chartered on their kits.

The deal is to come into effect at the beginning of the forthcoming Women's Super League (WSL) Spring Series, which first match is between Liverpool and Yeovil Town Ladies on SUnday23rd April, 2017.

The Liverpool FC's Managing Director & Chief Commercial Officer, Billy Hogan, expressed satisfaction with the conclusion of the deal.
