Nigerian actor blames wives for increased High Blood Pressure in men

The actor claimed that very expensive responsibilities of the home are heaped on the Nigerian men while the women enjoy the provision by men.

A Nigerian actor, Deyemi Okanlawon has blamed the Nigerian wives for the increased rate of high blood pressure amongst men.

In a tweet on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, Deyemi wrote, “Rent, school fees, car, buy house... in fact anything 50k-50mil na we get am... why won't we be dying anyhow…”

The actor also attributed the death of his business partner to health related matters while narrating how another friend of his absconded to the US to end his health problems without his wife.

“... my biz partner just collapsed & died last yr... another friend started having signs of stroke... stopped when he ran off to yankee... without his wife,” Deyemi wrote.

Deyemi’s tweet was in response to a Nigerian filmmaker, Imoh Umoren’s tweet, “Black Men are more susceptible to high blood pressure and tend to die faster. Brothers try to take it easy and take care of your health. Ladies if it is within your power to help us kindly do. Today a friend of ours died from stress-related illness. Be cool.”
