5 things you didn’t know about hair

Hair can be your best feature but you most likely do not know as much as you think about it.

You may think that you know your hair better than anyone but really just how much do you know about your hair?

1. Blond are not as adventurous as we believe

In 2006, according to Harvard psychologist Jerome Kagan reported that in a sample of 101 toddlers, blond children were more withdrawn and shy. This dispels the myth that people with blond hair are more fun and extroverted than people with other colors of hair.

2. Oily hair may be healthier

According to environmental engineers at the Missouri University of Science and Technology, their studies have shown that oily hair absorbs the air pollutant ozone seven times more than clean hair.

3. You have a lot of hair

An average person has about 1,00,000 to 1,50,000 strands of hair at any given time so when you find a clump of hair in the drain or the hairbrush, you do not need to worry.

4. Hair isn’t to make you look good but keep you warm

The way your hair looks contributes immensely to your appearance, but that is far from what it was intended for. Unlike the rest of your body, your head has no protective layer of fat over it, which is why we have hair to shield us from the cold.

5. Twirling your hair with your fingers isn’t healthy for your hair

This bad hair habit can be hard to shake. Dirt from your hands transfers across to your hair making it heavy and limp. The constant touching causes breakage as well.
