Business Insider Sub Saharan Africa takes a close look at this beautiful island and all the reasons it deserves to be on your travel bucket list. Get ready to be blown away by Fregate (Seychelles), Africa’s most beautiful island to visit:
Here is why Fregate, Seychelles is one of the world’s most beautiful islands
Seychelle is home to dreamy beaches and hotels but Fregate is the dreamiest of them all.
The National Geographic describes this private island as “Part tropical paradise, part wild isle — a place where brochure-worthy beaches are inhabited by creatures seemingly plucked from the Galápagos.”
These creatures include two different species of sea turtles, hundred thousands of lovey tropical Birds, 3,000 free-roaming giant Aldabra tortoises (one of the world’s largest tortoises) and the “Seychelles Magpie Robin” which was saved from extinction.
Other reasons to visit include:
- 16 luxury crafted villas with private pools
- 7 beaches including Anse Victorin, voted “The World’s Best Beach” by The Times. These are perfect long walks, deep-sea fishing, water sports (sea kayaking or windsurfing), land sports (volleyball, badminton, or tennis), outdoor yoga, snorkelling and diving.
- Dining venues including 2 restaurants perfect for romantic getaways
- A spa, which is a major attraction according to TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel platform.
- A yacht club
- A library and museum.
