Security agents attacked governor’s convoy with armoured tank – PDP

The PDP convention, which is currently holding in Port Harcourt, has been the subject of much controversy and conflicting court judgments.

The PDP made the claim today, August 17, 2016, via its official Twitter handle. The opposition party tweeted:

“BREAKING NEWS!!! Security agents attack the convoy of Governor Nyesom Wike whilst trying to prevent him from leaving his official residence.”

“BREAKING!!! Security agents use an Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) to smash into Gov Nyesom Wike's convoy.”

The party was split in two during an earlier convention on May 21 after it attempted to remove Chairman, Ali Modu Sheriff.
