Shehu Sani says teenager needs privacy

Senator says the young teenager should not be dehumanized through various media reports and her privacy must be protected.

The senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Comrade Shehu Sani, has said that the Bayelsa State born teenager, Ese Oruru, who was abducted in Kano, North Western Nigeria needs privacy.

Ese was said to have been taken to Kano by one Yunusa since last year. Reports said Ese, upon her rescue in Kano was said to be five months pregnant.

But Human Right activist Shehu Sani who said Nigeria has a lot to do on the issue of abduction, added that the young teenager should not be dehumanized through various media reports.

Shehu Sani while speaking to online publishers in Kaduna said Ese should be encourage to live a fulfilled life.

“Abduction is not taking place in one ethnic group. This is a problem that needs to be tackled” Sani said, adding that he will find out about similar incidents in Kaduna State.
