“I have no doubt in my mind that the old man will succeed,” Okorocha says

Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha has expressed his confidence in President Muhammadu Buhari’s ability to lead Nigeria.

President Muhammadu Buhari

Okorocha gave the vote of confidence while speaking to journalists in Owerri on Sunday, May 22, 2016, Vanguard reports.

“I have no doubt in my mind that the old man (Buhari) will succeed. All I pleaded with Buhari to capture in the current fiscal year are in the budget. I want to assure Ndigbo that all that are due to us will definitely get to us,” he said.

“I will not run in 2019 because President Muhammadu Buhari has all it takes to lay a solid foundation for this country as has partly manifested in his fight against corruption and for the first time, members of the international committee now look at us as a people who are serious to grow and develop.

“If you want to see what President Buhari has achieved or wants to achieve, just go and look at the 2016 budget that had just been passed by the National Assembly,” he added according to Punch.

Okorocha had earlier said that he would not run in the 2019 presidential elections because God told him to settle for the governorship.
