A report by Punch Newspapers revealed that a number of the suspects have been reaching out to the former president, who is believed to have the ears of the incumbent President, Muhammadu Buhari.

While the individuals, who cut across politics, business, governance and media sectors have been reaching out to Obasanjo to intervene on their behalf, close aides of the Owu born high chief revealed that no help would be coming from the ex-president.
