Police IG to probe Lekki Free Trade Zone boss’ killing

Disu was reportedly shot dead by unknown gunmen in Okunraiye community near Ibeju-Lekki in October 12, 2015.

According to the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Steve Ayorinde,“Leaders of the Okunraye community, where Disu was murdered on October 12, 2015, had claimed that Disu was killed by a stray bullet from one of the riot policemen attached to the area, while the police in turn had issued a statement denying the allegation.”

The Lagos state police command has also debunked claims by the leaders of Okunraye Community in Ibeju-Lekki, alleging that its men killed Disu.

The Inspector- General of Police (IGP), Mr Solomon Arase, has however appealed to communities across the country to assist the police with useful information that would assist them to curb crimes.
