Here’s Some Symbolic Art To Show Support

It feels good to know that some Nigerian businesses have some soft spot for charity and care.

On May 1, 2014, Fuel Communications, Opebi, a Nigerian advertising company, published a powerful advert in Punch newspapers. The series of ads, titled #OURCALLTOINACTION, was created by the agency to bring sanity to the inhuman situation in the country as well as in the world.

The three different ads cheekily referred to the insurgency in Northern Nigeria, the hanging judgments in Egypt and the crisis in Ukraine. The headline on all the pieces reads “even inhumanity should take a break”…succinctly saying that violence should take a holiday

What makes this newsworthy is the fact that, while the advert was calling for a stop to inhumanity on workers’ day, there was actually a Boko Haram attack on the same day! Prophetic? Timely? Apt? You decide.

Check out the very creative series of 3 photos above. The first piece is the one addressing Boko Haram. I think this advert company is worth watching. Don’t you? #bringbackourgirls
