Rapper sued after publicly disowning 'Homecoming' concert film

Drake tweeted on Tuesday (March 16) that he and his label do not have 'any part' in the film.

Drake is being sued by the distributors of a concert film he publicly distanced himself from earlier this week.Titled 'Drake's Homecoming: The Lost Footage', the concert film will be shown in selected UK cinemas for one night only this evening (March 19). It features a performance Drake gave in Toronto in 2009, shortly after the release of his breakthrough mixtape 'So Far Gone'.Taking to Twitter on Monday (March 16), the rapper made it clear that the film is completely unauthorised and features no input from his label OVO Sound.

Distributors SpectiCast have since filed a lawsuit against Drake, a spokesperson for the company confirmed to Billboard.

According to TMZ, Specticast alleges in the lawsuit that Drake posted the dismissive tweet to draw attention to his Twitter feed, shortly before he started tweeting ticket details for his annual OVO Fest event in Toronto this summer.
