Meet South African filmmaker Mark Middlewick who was one of the three talented filmmaker who won the 2015 Jameson Short First Shot competition.

The annual competition which is aimed at helping unknown filmmakers get their scripts published, also funds and the winners.

Selected to play the lead roles in all three films include 2015 Oscar winner Adrien Brody, who will join the list of past winners like Kevin Spacey, Uma Thurman and William Dafoe.

Expected to air in June, the Middlewick's upcoming film tells the story of Adam, a mascot of a basketball team who loses his job. He decides to confront the person who replaces him.
