Actor, new Italian girlfriend in major PDA

Richard and Alexandra went public with their relationship on the red carpet of the 61st Annual Taormina Film Festival in Sicily.

'Pretty Woman' actor, Richard Gere, 65, and his new girlfriend, Spanish socialite Alejandra Silva, 32, were spotted packing on PDA on a beach in Taomina, Sicily on Saturday, June 20.

In the photos obtained by MailOnline, a shirtless Richard, who wore only a pair of blue shorts was cuddling with Alejandra who flaunted her toned body in a white bikini as both relaxed on the sun lounge. According to People Magazine Richard and Alexandra, who went public with their relationship on the red carpet of the 61st Annual Taormina Film Festival in Sicily, were also spotted sharing a kiss aboard a yacht on Monday, June 22.

Speaking of Alejandra's relationship with Richard, her friend told Spain's ABC, "They've been together for about a year but have been very private about it. Alejandra lives between Manhattan and Madrid and Richard has already been to see her a few times. They've managed to keep it hidden from the press but all their friends know."

Richard is in the process of finalizing his divorce from his wife Carey Lowell. They separated in 2013 after 12 years of marriage. They have one son together, 15-year-old Homer.

Meanwhile, Alejandra is reportedly the estranged wife of Govin Friedland, the son of American mining magnate Robert Friedland. They have one son together named Albert.
