Comedian buys 2014 Mercedes Benz G-wagon to mark 36th birthday

Nigerian comedian AY Makun who turns 36 years old today has bought himself a Mercedes-Benz G550 Wagon to mark his birthday.

Pictures of the award winning comedian and actor with his new automobile surfaced on the Internet today (August 19). The G550 Wagon is worth approximately 21 Million Naira.

This should be small change for AY. His 2014 comedy flick '' reportedly holds the record for the highest grossing Nigerian movie of all time raking in 137 Million Naira the box office. Also he landed an endorsement deal with Nigerian telco GLO a few months ago. He is also a brand ambassador for Peak Milk.

AY who shut down his MVP Lounge in Lekki in May will be re-opening it soon.

According to sources the award winning actor will re-open the lounge on Independence Day, October 1st. This time around AY will not be involved in the every day operation of the club.

In his Encomium interview back in May AY said he did not shut down the club because of low patronage. "It's not as if MVP has closed down business for good" said AY. "We want to bring in fresh hands to run the place. For us it's better to close our doors for a while and restrategise than things to get wrong. We need better and able hands to run the lounge" he further said.
