Government wins landslide in state elections
The socialist government of President Nicolas Maduro won a landslide 17 out of 23 states in Venezuela's regional elections Sunday.

The opposition Democratic Union Roundtable (MUD) coalition, which earlier said the upcoming results were "suspicious", took only five of the states, according to the results.
