These 5 apps will make adulting much more bearable for you

There are so many other apps and tools that you can take advantage of when being an adult starts to get out of control.

You know you get to this point every other week.

Adulting is hard — I think we can all agree on that. So when it does get messy and confusing, what do you do? You turn to your smartphone that’s what. With several apps and tools available, you can take charge of your personal, professional and financial life together.

Here are five apps to help bring some sanity into your life:

This nifty to-do app lets you keep track of tasks you need to get done and it will not get off your back (read: Notifications pane) until you get those tasks done. The design is clean and you can be as flexible as you want with it. It’s available on iOS and Android.

All kinds of projects can be organized and collaborated on suing Trello. It lets you create boards with lists for better organization. You can also add people to tasks, create deadlines, add files and even comment on stuff. The collaborative factor makes it perfect for when you have to work with other people. It’s available on Web, iOS and Android.

As long as you can muster up the discipline to input every single transaction into the Spendee app, you never need any other finance tracker. The app lets you put in locations where you spent (or collected) money, add notes on each transaction, create budgets — all in a detailed, easy-to-understand way. It is available on iOS and Android.

Personally, I still have several articles on my Pocket that I haven’t gotten to yet. There is just way too much content out there and not enough time to consume it all. Simply save that article or video to Pocket and you can go back to it anytime and on any device, which means you never miss an interesting piece even if you don’t have time to read it at that moment. It’s available on Web, iOS and Android.

You can manage as much as three social media accounts (across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn) via Hootsuite. You can also schedule posts and also get info on engagement and other metrics within the app as well. Hootsuite is available on Web, iOS and Android.

These are just a fews apps to get you started (the best of the bunch, really). There are so many other apps and tools that you can take advantage of when being an adult starts to get out of control.
