‘We are still recovering looted funds,’ Finance Minister says

She however revealed that the government had also recovered property assets, cars and jewelry from looters.

Nigeria's Finance Minister Kemi Adeosun speaks at a news conference in Lagos, Nigeria, April 9, 2016.

Adeosun made the comments on Thursday, October 27, during a presentation at the National Assembly.

“The process of recovering looted fund is an ongoing process. Indeed money comes almost on daily basis into those accounts. We have not recovered much from foreign money. It is a little more difficult,” she said.

Information Minister, Lai Mohammed had earlier said that the government had so far recovered N78bn and $3m in looted funds.
