Army to commence 'Exercise Crocodile Smile' training

This is contained in a statement given to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) by Col. Sani Kukasheka Usman, Acting Director of Army Public Relations, in Abuja on Thursday.

Usman said the aim of the exercise ``is to practice its Special Forces and other units of the Army in Amphibious and Internal Security Operations in riverine environment.

``It is also to check criminal activities like kidnapping, militancy, piracy and other forms of criminal activities.’’

He added that the exercise ``is in support of the civil authority.’’
