President Buhari while speaking to Nigerians living in Paris, made a blunt statement regarding the menace of the dreaded Boko Haram. He said “We do not expect a 100% stoppage of the insurgency."

Buhari also praised the military, saying that he believes the troops will defeat the terror group by the end of the year.

He said “The main conventional attacks, where Boko Haram use armoured cars they took from the Nigerian troops, or mounted machine-guns on pick-up vehicles and so on, we believe by the end of the three months, we will see the end of that."
