5 killed in fresh Adamawa attack

The attack was confirmed by state lawmaker, Emmanuel Tsamdu, who said that residents of the area had been trained to repel further attacks.

 

About five people have been killed in Adamawa State following an attack by terrorist sect, Boko Haram.

The incident is said to have occurred on Sunday, August 2, 2015 in Kobachwa village in the Madagali area of the state.

The attack was confirmed by state lawmaker, Emmanuel Tsamdu, who said that residents of the area had been trained to repel further attacks.

“It is from these hideouts in the surrounding mountains which dots its landscape that the insurgents also come out from to unleash attacks on the villagers who are mostly farmers,” Tsamdu told Premium Times.

“The attacks have forced us and the entire community to arm and equip about 200 vigilantes in the area to repel future attacks,” he adeed.

He also said that similar attacks had occurred in the Midigu, Lanssa, Immulsa, Kubula, Sabon Gari and Wagachakawa areas in the last five days
