'My attackers won’t go free', Senator says

The Senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Binta Masi Garba, has said that those who attacked her during an empowerment programme will not go free.

The Senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Binta Masi Garba, has said that those who attacked her during an empowerment programme will not go free.

She said those who assaulted her and their sponsors will be made to face justice after investigations are completed.

Binta was attacked in Mubi Adamawa State last week when she traveled for an empowerment programme. She told journalists for the first time since the incidence occurred that no one will be blamed for what happen to her but added when security agencies finished theirinvestigations, the culprits will be brought to book.

“What happened in Mubi is unfortunate. Politics should not be a do or die affair. It should be a game of number and should be played according to the rules,” She said.

Also speaking on the forthcoming bye election into Numan, Demsa, Lamurde Federal Constituency, the only female Senator from the North in the 8 Assembly urged the people to go for the woman candidate.

“I want the people to come out enmasse and vote for the APC candidate. They should vote for Hon. Talatu Yohanna,” Binta said.

She said Adamawa belongs to APC and urged the people to consolidate on the victories recorded.
