Chevron will close its 100,000 barrel per day South African refinery for several weeks from Feb. 1 to carry out scheduled maintenance, the company said on Thursday.

"Supply constraints are carefully mitigated through the building up of strategic fuel supply in the time leading up to the planned maintenance and safety inspection," Chevron said in a statement.
Chevron said it expected no supply disruptions.
