Ashworth has been tagged the most polite person on the internet. The pensioner politely asked Google to translate roman numerals MCMXCVIII and added a thank you at the end of the search.

Her grandson, John shared it on Twitter and it has since gained over 31k retweets and 44k likes.

“Please translate these roman numerals mcmxcviii thank you.”

Google tweeted back saying: “Dearest Ben’s Nan. Hope you’re well. In a world of billions of Searches, yours made us smile. Oh, and it’s 1998. Thank YOU”
