The Super Eagles secured their passage to the next round after defeating Equatorial Guinea 3 - 1. The Eagles played out a goalless draw in their opening match against Rwanda before a 1 - 0 victory over Libya in their second game.
The Super Eagles via two wins and a draw finished top of group C with seven points, and will play the runners-up in group D.
Super Eagles head coach Salisu Yusuf has thanked Nigerians for their support throughout the competition, but his side face a tough challenge in the quarterfinal.
Nigeria's opponent Angola, started their first two matches in the competition like Nigeria.
First they played a goalless draw against Burkina Faso, and followed it up with a lone victory against Cameroon, they rounded up their group with another goalless draw against Congo which gave them a total of five points to finish second behind Congo and qualify for the quarterfinal.
The Super Eagles meet a tough opponent in Angola who are yet to lose a game, and concede a goal in the competition
This will be the first meeting for the between Super Eagles and Angola since they denied Nigeria a World Cup ticket in 2006.
The match will take place on Sunday, January 28, at the Stade Adrar, Agadir, (Kick off- 4:30 pm : 5:30 pm Nigeria time).
