Selma Blair continues to break down the stigma surrounding multiple sclerosis. Since she was officially diagnosed with MS in August 2018, she's been super-open and honest about how her life has changed since her diagnosis. One of the biggest changes has been her decreased mobility, which left her needing to use a cane. (Selma first shared a photo of herself using a cane around Christmastime.)

But recently, she's been using a device called an Alinker , a non-motorized walking bike invented by Barbara Alinker, to help her get around. And now, she's gifting fellow MS warrior Brandon Stringfellow La Voie with one of his own after his wife started a GoFundMe page to raise money for one. (Currently the bike is listed for $1,977.)

La Voie posted on his Instagram about being inspired to get one after seeing Selma on her Alinker. "My wife got me the greatest present for #worldmsday she gave me hope," he wrote of the fundraising campaign his wife started. "Hope that one day I can get some mobility and freedom back."

Well, Selma got wind and decided to step in. After all, she was gifted hers by her friend, actress Jamie Lynn Sigler (who also has MS )."This device that Barbara has invented has changed how I view leaving the house," Selma wrote. "Going on walks. Being active...I have been without my Alinker for a few days and I am exhausted and hurting from trying to do so much w a cane."
