In a radio broadcast on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, the Osun State House of Assembly issues a warrant of Muyiwa's arrest on the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation.
Speaking to Punch, Muyiwa said he was not aware of the invitation from the Assembly.
The former commissioner, who was furious about the warrant of arrest, said he was in the state on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 but did not hear the radio announcement nor a formal letter of invitation.
He said, “I just heard the same way you heard it. Nobody invited me. It is very strange; nobody invited me. I was even in Osun State till 7:pm on Tuesday.”
In furtherance, Ige said he personally volunteered to assist on the matter and that he was not given official invitation to that effect.
He affirmed that he had no cause to run away from the lawmakers when he had not done anything wrong.
The Osun Assembly, it was reported, is investigating a land matter at Ilobu and the former commissioner was invited to appear before the lawmakers to clear some grey areas.
