The 30-year-old striker is already impressing everyone at the club according to Solskjaer who sang his praises ahead of Manchester United’s Europa League round of 32 first-leg clash away at Club Brugge

The praise started when a Nigerian journalist Ojora Babatunde asked the Manchester United manager how Ighalo would fit in his team.

Odion is a different type of striker for us, he is a box striker, he is a goalscorer,” the Solskjaer said.

We have already seen him in training, he really knows his craft, he knows how to play as a centre forward and is a fantastic professional and human being and he has already added to the squad.

“The boys have taken to him, I hope he is going to sharpen up quickly. I know he is out of the season and he needs to do a little bit extra after training.”

Solskjaer also rued the chance Ighalo missed against Chelsea which would have given him a great start.

Unfortunately, he couldn't score against Chelsea, he missed a good chance, that would have been a good start but I’m sure he will take his chances,” Manchester United manager also said.

Ighalo is expected to play a part in Manchester United’s Europa League clash against Club Brugge on Thursday, February 20, 2020.
