According to People, the scene was captured on camera on Monday, August 1, 2016, on the streets of  New York.

Hill was visibly terrified, thinking that the man who jumped him was a crazed fan or a paparazzi.

A long embrace however followed this after the actor realised that the supposed fan was his old friend.

This happened in the presence of the paparazzi, who also had a good laugh from the well planned prank.
