Artist organises concert just for Dogs
Artist Laurie Anderson plays an electric violin during a concert aimed at dogs in Times Square in New York City on January 4, 2016.
About 50 dogs, plus about 100 humans, listened to music that was played at a frequency that dogs can hear in Times Square, New York City.
Dozens of dogs barked or howled when the concert was going on.
Anderson performed the show in a low frequency sound that is aimed at suiting canine hearing, Luckily the artist didn't’t discriminate between species, and gave headphone to the humans so they could also hear the tunes.
Anderson told The Guardian: ‘Oh, it was lovely. There was so many types of dogs, I really hadn’t imagined that many would show up. I was really impressed.’
Local station NY1 reports the show included an excerpt from Anderson's documentary "Heart of a Dog" that also honored her late husband, legendary rocker Lou Reed.
Anderson performed a similar concert years earlier outside Australia's Sydney Opera House.
