A man was stabbed to death in front of commuters during rush hour this morning near the London train station.

The victim, believed to be in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene near Morden Underground station just after 8am.

Metro UK reported that police and emergency services were called to Kendor Gardens to reports of an injured man with multiple stab wounds.

Detective Chief Inspector Dave Reid said: ‘The stabbing occurred during the rush hour period and there would have been a number of people in the vicinity making their way to the train station.

‘I am appealing for anyone who may have seen the stabbing or the events leading up to the incident to get in contact with us.’

No arrests have been made and inquiries continue.
